 Jamia Millia Islamia located at South Delhi came into existence in 1989. The college was started to meet the demand of qualified and skilled professionals. The college is a saga of dedication, conviction and vision of the people who worked against all odds and saw it growing step by step. The college has made significant progress in terms of restricting of courses and syllabi, introducing new courses, experimenting with innovative techniques of imparting legal education and strengthening its clinical programme in order to give due emphasis to the expanding horizons of the legal profession. Admissions

Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia is situated in the capital of India, Delhi. It was established in the year 1989.

Faculty of Law offers BA LLB, LLM and PG Diploma courses to the candidates. The institute also offers Ph.D. / M.Phil (Law) program.

  • Eligibility for applying to BA LLB program is passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks.
  • Admission to BA LLB program is done on the basis of JMI BA LLB.
  • For admission into LLM program, candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% marks in LLB program.
  • Eligibility for the PG Diploma course is passed in any Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks.
  • Admission to LLM and PG Diploma is done through an entrance examination conducted by the university followed by personal interview.
  • To become eligible for interview, candidates need to attain 30% or more marks in the descriptive section of the Entrance Test, wherever applicable.
  • For Ph.D./M.Phil, a candidate must pass in Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks from recognized university.
  • Admission to Ph.D. is done on the basis of entrance examination followed by personal interview.

Jamia Millia Islamia Law BA LLB Admission 2022

The institute offers five years of BA LLB program. The course is also offered under self-finance category.

The minimum eligibility for qualifying for the program is minimum 50% marks in 10+2 examination from any stream.

Admission to the course is based on the merit secured in (JMI BA LLB) entrance examination followed by an interview.

Jamia Millia Islamia Law Application Process 2022

Candidates applying to the various courses of Faculty of Law need to apply online at the official website.

  • Visit the official website of the university.
  • Click on the link for Admission to the required program.  
  • Register as a new user and click on confirm.
  • Candidate will receive an email which will contain an activation code.
  • Enter the activation code in the given link.
  • Now, login with username and password and fill the form.
  • After the application form is filled carefully, candidates can pay the fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
  • Application fees for UG and PG course is INR 700.
  • Application fees for Ph.D. candidates is INR 1500.

Documents required for admission:

  1. Marksheet and proof of passing the qualifying examination.
  2. Proof of age
  3. Caste certificate
  4. A certificate from a recognized doctor or hospital for certifying blood group.
  5. Address proof with name of nearest Police Station and District

Note: In case, students whose results have not been declared, they will be provisionally admitted based on the submission of following documents:

  • Certificate issued by previous college/university showing that the candidate has appeared in the final semester/year examination of the qualifying subject.
  • Verification of all mark sheets prior to the final examination to ensure minimum eligibility.
